Life is too short to read a bad book.

I'd Rather Be Reading....................
I'd just gotten to the part where Quinn was kissing Georgiana's scarred flesh, his hands reached for her hips, and as he drew her closer ................

I realized I was getting sucked in and would be late for work if I didn't leave right away.

The mind boggles as to what will happen next.

hi Dev :D what book were you reading?

You're a stronger woman that I...every day this week I was at least 15 minutes (up to an hour) late for work because I was reading and couldn't be arsed to put down my book.

Hope you get back to it soon!

    Hugs!

Nath ~ The Kiss by Sophia Nash. If I remember right, I don't think you liked it.

Holly ~ It's my downfall. I read every morning. I'm usually at work between 7:15 and 7:30. Everyday this week I haven't left my house until at least 7:30-7:45.

I have a 40 minute commute (if I drive WAY over the speed limit) and I'm supposed to be to work at nine. This morning, I left my house at 8:45 and still had to drop the kids off.

    *sigh*

I remember the CA traffic not-so-fondly. I remember having to leave way early just to plan on the commute time. More often than not, there was always gridlock.

Well, in that respect I don't really have a problem, because the area I live in isn't that over crowded (yet). I just live quite a ways from work (I think 55 miles).

Holly ~ I nannied so I didn't really have a commute. The only time I ever had to go out there was when I was going to class, or if I ventured over the hill (I lived in Sylmar).

Oh, you nannied? How was that? I've always hated OPK's, so I don't think I could do that. :P

I hate trying to travel anywhere outside of my "area" because of the traffic. Last time I went to San Diego it took me almost 5 hours to drive down, when it's supposed to take me just under 2.

That's my biggest gripe with CA, how overpopulated it is. Blech.

But I don't hate it enough to move to Montana. :P

Holly ~ Don't your in-laws live here? I happen to know you've got a pretty fabulous pal up here, too.

  • At 2:07 PM, Blogger Holly

Yes, my father-in-law and his wife.

Much as I lub you..it's not enough to move to Montana. :P

Holly ~ That's fine. I'm not offended. :-) Who knows, you may come for a visit and fall in love with the place.

Oh, I've visited babe. I grew up in South Dakota and had several friends from Montana I used to visit. It's one of the most gorgeous places I've ever visited. But then, South Dakota is probably the most beautiful place I've ever lived.

The problem w/ both is the weather. I will never again live in an area where it's that cold. Ever.

But I would love to come visit. In the summer. :P

Holly ~ Maybe you and Rosie should plan on visiting at the same time. We could have a good ole' time.

Wouldn't that be a ripper? Us all sipping margaritas in a bar in MT? I'm in! Uh, not this summer though. Got my va-cay time tied up in RWA.

Rosie ~ Can you imagine it? It'd be a blast.

  • At 9:40 PM, Blogger Chantal

Oh, don't you hate that?! Stupid work, getting in the way of reading :P

  • At 9:43 PM, Blogger Dev

Chantal ~ Always. Almost makes me wish I was independently wealthy so I could just read all the time.

  • At 2:59 PM, Blogger nath

LOL, so that's why the names sounded familiar! :D I'd like to see Montana one day...

  • At 3:35 PM, Blogger Stacy~

I would love to visit Montana one day. Sounds gorgeous.

55 miles Holly??? OMG, road rage would set in around mile #5. I live only about 2 miles from work, and I love it.

I read the one before "The Kiss", but never got this one. Too many books I need to read...

  • At 8:58 AM, Blogger Dev

Nath ~ That would be why :-)

Stacy ~ I so understand about the books. I should take pictures. It's gotten to the point of ridiculous ~ and this is me, the book lover, saying that. Suppose there's worse addictions out there.........
