Recommended by: Not quite sure ~ word seems to be around about this one everywhere.

From the Back Cover (courtesy of bn.com):Tough minded Jessica Trent's sole intention is to free her nitwit brother from the destructive influence of Sebastian Ballister, the notorious Marquess of Dain. She never expects to desire the arrogant, amoral cad. And when Dain’s reciprocal passion places them in a scandalously compromising, and public, position; Jessica is left with no choice but to seek satisfaction...

Damn the minx for tempting him, kissing him...and then for forcing him to salvage her reputation! Lord Dain can't wait to put the infuriating bluestocking in her place — and in some amorous position. And if this means marriage, so be it — though Sebastian is less than certain he can continue to remain aloof...and steel his heart to the sensuous, head strong lady's considerable charms.

What I Liked: The chemistry between Dain and Jess is immediate. I love the banter between them ~ it’s often times laugh out loud funny. I loved how he just couldn’t stay away from her. Even on the first day, he couldn’t leave the shop ~ he just had to see what she was doing. I loved that he hid in the bushes just so he could catch a glimpse of her. Poor schmuck had it bad from the very beginning.

And Jess ~ who couldn't love her? She's tough, she's strong. And she’s so cool when it comes to Dain, like it’s no big deal. After yet another confrontation between the two, he chases her out into the street. Then she loses it. And they kiss ~ in the rain. And it was hot.

Oh ~ and he speaks Italian to her. And this big man who’s made a life for himself by never needing anyone ~ needs Jess. The whole story was just so great. It’s one of those that you never want to see end, but you just can’t stop reading.

What I Didn’t Like: I can’t really think of a thing. This is definitely one of my favorites ~ and Dain has moved into my top four heroes.

Verdict: I need to buy this book. It’s just ~ well, it’s just Excellent. That’s all.

Isn't this one great!!! I just love the way Jessica stands up to Dain - doesn't let me get away with anything - and the lengths she will go to!*g* And Dain's inner musings are so funny, so touching, so - everything. I just recently found this one and really must reread it again!! I think this would be about my fifth time reading it. It just never gets old *sigh*
