Why I Read It: I like stories about reunited lovers. Plus, it’s Christmas……..and mistletoe.

My Thoughts: I always like the idea of reunited high school sweethearts. I’m a sucker for a story like that. But, this one fell a little flat for me. The book started out good, but started to fizzle a little bit after the middle. I think that the conflict was resolved way to quickly and one minute Bailey and Finn hate each other (but are still attracted) and then you turn the page and wham, they don’t hate each other anymore. It was just a little too neat and tidy for me.
This story was Okay, but not something I’d read again. I’m hoping it’s sequel Not Another New Year’s is better.

Dylan ~ These are usually my favorite kind of story, but the conflict was resolved way too quickly and the reason for the conflict, I thought, was undeveloped. Once the conflict is resolved, so is the story ~ at least I think so except for tying up a few loose ends. The conflict was resolved toward the middle of the story and then I was left wondering why I was still reading.

Cindy ~ This was my first Ridgway. I also need to read Not Another New Year's, but if that one's not any better than Mistletoe, I'm not sure I'll read any more by her.
Mailyn ~ I'm okay. I've lost my reading mojo and so I'm kind of fumbling through the days trying to find something that interests me.
Ooh I love those kinds of stories too the ones where high school sweathearts reunite or when the geeky nerd finally gets the girl or guy after all these years...those are my favorites!
But this one was flat? Ugh.
