In Search of My Reading Mojo
Dearest Reader,

I am searching for my reading mojo. He left last week and I have not been able to find him. If he's not found soon, I fear, my body will be found under a massive TBR pile that I cannot dig myself out of.

If you see him, please let him know that I have a bunch of lovely ladies waiting patiently for him ~ some I bought for him as recently as last week; some have been waiting a little longer for him to make an appearance. Oh, and to spice thinks up, Nicholas Sparks is hanging out to party with him as well.

Please let him know that he is sorely missed and I think about him each and every day. He needs to come back. My life is not the same without him. All I do is lay around and look at the wonderful things I have for him that he's not able to enjoy. And since he can't enjoy them, neither can I.

Please let him know that I'll keep him well-fed and nourished with the wonderful library I've stocked on his behalf. He just needs to come home to enjoy it. Sooner rather than later. I'll be waiting.

Signed,
Mojo-less in Montana

Yours and mine must be out having a great time together because I have lost mine as well....first time in years it has gone AWOL!

I think your reading mojo met up with my review muse-because she's still MIA after the whole month of December. Sheesh. LOL

I hope your mojo comes back soon Devonna!! Sounds like you'll throw a heck of a welcome back party. :P

Mine returned...Hunter's RULES OF SEDUCTION brought him back. Feed him that and he should be back in no time!

Bummer! He will come back. He always does, right?! Pick up an old favorite? Or a new book by a favorite author? Maybe that will bring him around. :)

I think mine must have skipped out with yours and Marg's. UGH! I want him back NOW!

And Ames, my review muse went along with my mojo. It's prolly all your fault. :)

Hope it comes back soon, babe!

Aha! There is a reading mojo party that must be going on. I am trying to tempt mine back with short stories - that way he can still remain his fickle self until he's ready to come home to roost the bastard - uh, I mean, dear one ;)

Hopefully they'll all come home and treat us like the royals we are!

I've been the same way. Sigh. If your's runs into mine, have him send mine back too.

Love the new look Devonna! Mojo's not here. :(

Poor thing... I'm sending you mojo vibes in hopes you can get back in the swing of it all. : )

Here's hoping the mojo comes back soon. It's an awful thing to keep buying but not feel like reading. And love the new look too!

Love the new look! Hope your mojo comes back soon :D

Love the new look!!! Oh and he probably left with my review muse. She is such a bitch! She comes and goes whenever she feels like it. Doesn't she know we have work to do?!?! I feel for ya. :-(

Since I've been out of the loop for so long first let me say, I really like your blog page.

Reading mojo is one cagey and mysterious dude. I say ignore him for awhile and he will come slinking back into your life with a vengence...probably when you can least afford the time too.

Thanks, all. I'm still mojo-less, but trying :-) A few pages here, a few pages there....I'm trying to tempt him back. Maybe soon...or, at least, I hope soon.

Thanks for the comments on the updated look ~ I figured it was time.

I'm hoping he'll be back soon ~ This is sure good weather to have my mojo back. It's snow, snow, snowing outside and with the windchill factor, it feels like -15 outside!

I guess everyone is reading mojoless...I hope you get your mojo back sweets!

Okay, I truly belly laughed at this! Sorry your mo-jo has no go-go. :(

Good luck on getting your mojo back. Going to the store and getting some books that sounded good, but I hadn't heard too much buzz on helped. Reading an old favorite can definitely help too.

I think that the disappearance of all this mojo has to do with post-holiday exhaustion.

Dylan ~ I've been reading bits and pieces of The Nerd Who Loved Me and also Manhunting. I'm hoping a little Crusie will tempt him back...

Jodi ~ Welcome back! Glad I could provide a chuckle :-)

Devon ~ Hopefully soon. I've got some good books that I'm dying to read. Maybe I'll devote the weekend to lounging and hopefully force feed my mojo back into working order.

Still no mojo, Devonna? That's lousy!

Maybe Nicholas Sparks lurking in the TBR scared him off. ;-)

  • At 4:31 PM, Blogger Stacy~

Hey Devonna, love the new digs.

Yeah, my review muse is on sabbatical and I have no idea where or when when she'll be back. Hate that....

  • At 2:48 PM, Blogger Dev

C2 ~ Nope, still no mojo ~ although my muse seems to be paying attention to the Nerd book a little more than anything.

Stacy ~ Thanks! I'm still trying to lure him back. I haven't hardly read anything in 2 months, so you would think he'd want to come back. I know I want him to.
