From the Back Cover: In this delightful, heartwarming novel, Kathy Love introduces the Stepp sisters, three women whose lives are about to take a turn for the wild, the unpredictable, and the absolutely enchanting… Meet Abby.

Note To Self: Remind me to have my head examined. What exactly possessed me to come home to Millbrook, Maine, where nothing changes but the weather? Oh, right. A six-month grant to do genetics research at Rand laboratories. What can I say-I'm a smart girl. And smart girls get what they need and get out again. Smart girls don't dream, they settle. And smart girls do not get completely tongue-tied while holding a basket of fried clams when they bump into the most gorgeous man they haven't seen in fifteen years: Chase Jordan.

Remind me to have my hormones removed. Chase Jordan. Town bad boy. Rebel with a cause to show up in my dreams unannounced. Oh boy, this is not good. Not smart. It's like high school all over again. But in a good way. A heart-thumping way. An I-have-no-idea-what's-going-to-happen way. A way that's making me feel like maybe settling for what I have isn't so smart…but really going after what I want is the craziest thing I may ever do…

My Thoughts: I’m so glad I liked this one. I’ve been looking forward to reading the series. And who wouldn’t like to hook up with a reformed bad boy? I like the fact that Chase and Abby got the chance to be friends. I like that he understood her. I like that they had a connection. But, Chase has a secret ~ and it’s one of those that you can pretty much figure out early on.

I started to not like them so much after they hooked up and it seemed they were having nothing but sex. But then they got better again. Some of the things that happened in the story were a little farfetched. The characters are supposed to be around 33 and it seemed there was some immaturity involved. Regardless of that, I’d still say this was between a Good or Very Good read. I liked it enough that I scoured 3 UBS stores looking for the next book in the series, only having to bite the bullet and go buy it at Borders.

Whoa - new look again! I like.
I really enjoyed this book too. I thought it was real sweet and loved the characters. I thought, Yes!! Another new author!! Then I read the second and third book in this series and sadly (for me) they didn't even compare to this one. Now I think she's writing funny type vampire books that don't interest me in the least so, *heavy sigh* she was a one hit wonder for me.

Kristie ~ I heard that the new two weren't as good, but you know me and series books ~ I need to read them all. Which is too bad, because this one was just so sweet.

Devonna, I read all three in a row because I picked them up at the UBS. Here's what I said back in May:

Kathy Love - A trilogy GETTING WHAT YOU WANT; WANTING WHAT YOU GET; and WANTING SOMETHING MORE. I probably would not have read all three of these if I was waiting for them to come out individually. However, this was one of those rare instances when a cover caught my eye and all three of the books were out already. Reading them one after the other was great. They aren't the sort of read I would rave about, but were an enjoyable way to spend a weekend. Straight up contemporary romance about three misfit sisters and how they manage to make a life for themselves when they "grow up".

I remember enjoying the reading experience and like I said I read them back to back in a weekend.

I started Ellie's story this morning. I'm hoping Chase and Abby will be in it since Mason and Chase are best friends. The third sister, Marty, hasn't been mentioned much so I hope I get to know her a little more in this book before I start hers (I had to order it ~ so will probably have it within the week).
