Is it Spring yet!?
I do like eating richer foods - meats with gravy, chili (although I can only use Kidney beans - I used to just throw a ton of beans in the pot but the tummy has rebelled so back to the old style), my friend and I will get together and make personal size home made meat pies - yum!
I like the chillier nights but Fall and Winter are not my best times. Although I should start to feel some love towards them as most people up here hunker down and just veg. Since I love to veg this should be a good thing ;)

At 9:55 AM,
mmm that's sounds perfect! (Love homemade soups and chili!) Hey, I've got a great taco soup recipe for the crocpot, If you're interested let me know at zeek319@hotmail.com and I'll email it to ya!)
I just like the fact that things change in the fall. I get all hepped up with change and I feel that excitment every time spring and fall come around. Oh and I love the colors of fall as well!
Cindy ~ Fall and Spring are my favorite seasons. Winter could be my favorite season, if I didn't have to drive on the icy roads :-) I only put Kidney beans in my chili ~ I'm not a fan of beans, in general.
Mailyn ~ I spent Christmas in Miami one year....got stung by a bee. I lived in California for almost three years as a nanny and just could not get used to not having the seasons change.
Zeek ~ Mmmm, taco soup. One of my favorites. The recipe I have has ranch dressing in it. I don't make it as often as I make the chili, but anything that has ranch dressing in it can't be half bad. I'll email you later when I get home.

Zeek ~ I like the new nickname :-)
Kristie ~ Yes, apples! Fresh homemade apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. Yum! My friend was so excited when she bought her house because she had 4 apple trees. 10 years later, she hates the apple trees. Apples falling everywhere. She gives away laundry baskets full of apples to anyone of us who will take them.
I also look forward to all of the squash that comes out this year. Oh, and my absolute favorite ~ pomegranates!!!! Yum!

Tara Marie ~ I love going to the pumpkin patches around town and picking up fresh squash. Then there's hay rides, corn mazes and all the fun that goes along with those.
I absolutely can't wait until the first snow fall. I get excited just seeing the flakes fly. I may hate driving in the stuff, but I absolutely love watching it fall.
Oohhh, yes. Chili's a big one for me.
I like Texas style, with the chunks of slow cooked beef, so they're tender and falling apart. And I like it spicy. Without celery. :-)
I also like visits to the cider mill, complete with hot spiced cider and donuts, and a hayride.
I love any kind of soup and bread, particularly if I'm cooking them in my own kitchen so I can smell them! Mmmm.
I love sweaters, University of Michigan football (GO BLUE!), red-tipped noses, and hot chocolate.
Fall is my favorite time of year. Love it.
Colleen ~
Good answers! I love sweaters too. I love bundling up and going out into the crispness of the cold weather ~ but, I hate scarfs. Refuse to wear them. Growing up, Mom bundled us up so bad I literally thought I was going to suffocate (if you've seen A Christmas Story ~ think of Ralphie's little brother being bundled up to go to school). Yes, it was that bad.
Hey what's fry bread? I want to try that...it sounds good, even though I need to stay away from fried foods. LOL.
But that meal sounds scrumptious, I love it when my sister makes homemade chilli, too bad she doesn't make it often enough and here in California, it's not that cold yet, the colder weather has only been teasing us becuase right now, the sun is shining and it's warm out, GO AWAY BRING THE FALL WEATHER DAMMIT!
Ugh.
Enjoy your chilli and your colder weather, you lucky duck! =)
Right now I'd like to join you for chili! We just started getting cooler weather the past couple of days. For us that means we are dropping into the high 50s at night but are still in the 70s during the day. So no chili yet. Although chili is a big favorite, my family knows it's cold weather when I make my homemade chicken noodle soup in the crock pot.
