Life is too short to read a bad book.

Decisions, decisions
Anyone But You by Jennifer Crusie is finally in at the library. So, do I finish the book I started last night, or do I read this one? I'm only 10 pages into the book, but I already think that the heroine needs to be medicated ~ with a strong tranquilizer. Maybe she'll calm down as I get further in the book, but she is a little over the top. I think she's a spoiled little daddy's girl who throws temper tantrums until she gets what she wants and I haven't really found anything truly likeable about her yet.

The more I write, the more I'm leaning towards the Crusie book. Besides, it's still considered "new fiction" and needs to be back to the library in two weeks.

Talked to Mom last night. She and her boyfriend are headed to Alaska early tomorrow morning. Lucky dog.

I would love to go to Alaska!

I suggest start the Crusie right away. I don't think I've read that title.

Ames ~ I'm leaning that way. I've been waiting weeks for that book to get back in at the library. I've never read a Crusie and I heard it was a great book to start with.

I haven't read Anyone But You yet. I've had it for ages and ages, but it's a May/Dec romance and I'm scurred. LOL I have serious issues when then dwell on the age difference, so I dunno..

What book are you reading now?

Holly ~ I started Duel of Hearts by Diane Farr last night. I'm only 10 pages into it so far and I'm not sure I like the heroine or not. I've heard good things about this book, so I'm sure she's bound to get better. Right now, I think she needs a heavy sedative.

I love May/December romances. I think I'm going to have to pick that Crusie up for myself too. LOL

I think it's only a 10 year difference ~ and the heroine is the one who's older. I've heard lots of good things, so I'm hoping it'll be a good book.

Devonna--ditch the spoiled heroine and read Anyone But You! It's classic Crusie and so good. And it's short and sweet--you'll fly right through it.

Hmmm, the book with the horrible heroine, have you heard that she 'grows' during the story or do you think that she'll be that scary for the whole book?

I would also say Anyone But You but I don't want to set your sights too high. Still, it rocked.

Cindy ~ I'm hoping she grows the further I get into the book. I'm only 10 pages into it and she couldn't possibly stay that way throughout the whole thing.

Jennie ~ I started Anyone But You last night and got about halfway through it before I fell asleep. It's good so far, and I love Fred the dog (and Alex and Nina too, of course).

Ok, I'll read it tonight, Devonna, then we can talk about it tomorrow. If you want. :)

Sounds good, Holly. I hope you like it. I'm really enjoying it so far.

LMAO!!! There's a sign to stop reading if I've ever seen one. LOL.

I'm in the last 50-60 pages. I'm finishing it as soon as I get home. I'd have finished it last night, but got sucked into Supernova and Dancing with the Stars.
